So my experiment has been carried out finally and all hiccups put firmly behind me (fingers and toes crossed, I hope yours are too). It was carried out in multiple locations so I am hoping that the audio doesn't sound drastically different for each one, it isn't as if one is going to have a wild-track and one isn't, just more the acoustics of the room I'm worried about (prima donna student documentarian that I am).
I'm happy its done as that is all my content now successfully recorded - I just need to record a conclusion at some point in the studio at uni and then its just tinker-central til the end.
I'm proud so far with how it's looking but my only scruple would be that, in the always focused hindsight one has, my topic would maybe have suited a longer documentary rather than a 7 minute one. Not that I'm unhappy with it, but I have spent a good portion on just "getting the listeners up to scratch" which I think could've been used better digging more into the juice of the topic. This is coming from someone who enjoys 3 hour long podcasts between two people talking about subjects like this however, so maybe i'm just not the demo and the audience are happy with just an amuse-bouche? Am I too close to the painting? Is this project and lack of sleep going to drive me nuts? Find out next week! ONWARDS!
